I went to Rostock yesterday to meet up with my cousin from England. She was there visiting some family and I took the chance to see her again. Last time I saw her was over 2 years ago (not counting a super short meeting I had with her on Monday). She was there with her daughter Cody(4) and son Lucca(1 month)…it was soooo great to see them again!!!

Don’t know when I will get the next chance to meet them as we’re hardly in the same country. I hope it’s vey soon though 🙂

But when I was on my way back home i noticed something terrible: I LOST MY iPOD!!!!! WAAAHH!!! I don’t know how and when it could have happened…but GRRRR!! I was so pissed yesterday…and still am! Now I’m on the hunt for a new one! And those precious things are still kinda expensive (at least for someone who needs money for so many things atm)…but I need to get a new one…I can’t survuve without one..can you?

Lucca and me

Today I did a little boat trip. Jess was here in Waren/Müritz for a quick visit and we wanted to rent a pedal boat but they were all gone so we just went for the rowboat. The guy who rented the boats already grinned but didnt say anything and cleaned the boat for us. I think he had a great laugh as he could watch us entering the boat. We must have looked very funny…but I mean has anyone of you ever tried to enter a rowboat?! That’s hard work people! Somehow we managed to get in there without keeling over ;). Then I freaked out a little cuz there was a GIGANTIC spider in our boat…OMG!!!!!!! But…I survived! So proud of myself!

Ok then we started our “trip” with a spectacular speed of 0,2 kilometers an hour…it took us forever to move the boat! But we managed.Somehow. And I am so proud that we did not lose our oars! But we were pretty close to a couple of times 😉

My arms and hands are kinda sore now but I really enjoyed that trip! Below a picture of the captain of the boat 😉

Dutch Memories

I finally finished the movie about my little trip to the Netherlands!!! The video is completely senseless and you might not understand a lot we’re saying but Jess and I filmed so much [crap] and we thought it might be funny and a good way to memorize the crazy and sleepless time we had in the land of cheese 😀 …bling bling 😉

i wanna go back so badly!!!

Today after work I visited my sister and got to see her new place. She moved to a village a while ago already. It’s kinda far away from my parents’ place but so nice! Haven’t been out in the “country” for soooo long…almost forgot how pretty the nature is there!!

the beach in Lalendorf

pretty corn fields

don’t know why but I really like this picture! 😉

the sunset…and my Mom on the right 🙂

Some of you already know what glorious job I have this summer…if not…don’t worry cuz here is a spectacular picture I took last night/this morning after my shift:

lovely eh?

I can tell you working at Mc Donalds really are no peanuts! Never would have thought that!!! And it’s unbelievable how rude customers can be sometimes! I really have a hard time not being too direct and speak my mind!!

I don’t like the job a lot but it’s nice money and who doesn’t need money? I could already book the flight to Lizzies wedding in Dallas,TX from my first salary!! I am so happy that it finally worked out!

It’s been like a week since my last post and actually I wanted to keep u up to date with my trip to beautiful Rotterdam. But unfortunately the days over there also have 24 hours only (scandalous eh?!!) so I didn’t have time to tell you about the trip.

Day 2 started with a painful incident on the tram to the train station but after the bleeding stopped, we found a band aid and the shock was over our trip could continue. We took the train to Amsterdam to go shopping and check out places we haven’t had time for in January.

I AMsterdam

Back in Rotterdam we were getting very hungry and were on the hunt for a Mc Donalds. Not a problem you think?? Haha! The only Mc Donalds banners we saw were on the Erasmus bridge close to the theater so we went there and thought we could find a Mc Donalds by just following the banners….jajaja…not a good idea! You end up in places where you really don’t wanna end up 😉

The sight of me and Jess flipping a map of Rotterdam must have been very funny and we were kinda embarrassed when Renée bumped into us and told us where to find a Mc Donalds.(esp. after noticing that we’ve already passed 2 Mc Donalds with the tram….oopsie!) Well let’s blame the lack of sleep! ;P

On day 3 we got up very early again (after another 2 hours of sleep) and walked through Rotterdam, went up the Euromast and made a sailing trip where we ended up getting quite a bad sunburn.

sailing trip on the “Maas”

love the architecture! And there are actually poeple living in there!

Our trip ended with visiting “Joseph” one last time. The show was amazing! One of the best and it was very hard for us to say goodbye to everything and everybody! Thanks to Jess and everybody involved in that amazing trip! I had a blast and it feels so weird to be back to “reality” again…

The alarm clock rang at 4:30am…without any compassion and mercy!! I felt soo dead…should have slept more than 3,5 hours but anyways I managed to get up because THE DAY has finally come: HOLLAND HERE I COME!!!

Jess and I took the train from Berlin to Holland…we even managed to get our connection train in Amersfort within 2 minutes and we managed to get on the wrong train:we almost ended up in Den Haag instead of Rotterdam. I would have liked to see the picture of us speeding through the trainstation with an at least 30 kg suitcase and temperatures around 30°C. We were more than happy when we finally arrived in Rotterdam, found our hotel (don’t ask how long it took us to get there!) and got rid of our luggage.

We were so excited because we were gonna see Renée again and give her the award I have mentioned earlier in this blog. She loved it!!  The Show was amazing! For those who don’t know which show we were seeing: Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat“.That show is amazingly successful in Holland!!

and the winner is… 🙂

Lotsa new people on stage (at leats for us) but they were all very good! Especially the Pharaoh who is modelled after Elvis. OMG I laughed so much! The show is amazing and Renée’s voice gave me goosebumps and even shot tears into my eyes!!

This one’s from the very end of the Show

The Megamix on July 2nd 2009. Love it!

Has anyone of you been to Rotterdam yet? It’s so beautiful!! I was shocked! I did not expect it to be that pretty, and cool and…ahh I don’t know…just go there!!! Here’s a little picture of Rotterdam’s most famous “symbol” taken from the theater!

the Erasmus Bridge

Tomorrow (or better said in 4,5 hours) we’re leaving for a day trip to Amsterdam!! That’s gonna be exciting!! Stay tuned!

I love Berlin – always have and always will!!! You can never get bored there…especially not when you have the great friends I have!

In my prior blog I announced that I wanna go shopping and still need to buy a few things for my Holland trip. And I went shopping. But I have to admit that some stores offer the most ridiculous/funniest clothes/styles ever. Some of you know that I love “bling bling”… so that one hat caught my attention immediately…and Jess joined me on that one:

pretty huh?!?!

And look what I found in “KaDeWe” today:

The most expensive water bottle ever: for just 89,90€ (!!) the amazing amount of 0,75 liters of water is yours! Sale of the century or am I wrong???

Another surprise that really touched me: a Michael Jackson memorial at Alexanderplatz. People put down flowers, pictures, letters and candles to honor the dead “King of Pop”.

Of course we put down a candle too and listened to his music which was played there as well. 🙂
