I admit. I have not been very good at keeping up with my blog last year. One of my resolutions for 2013 is to blog a bit more often. I am sure I will have enough to tell 😉

The previous year has probably been one of the most challenging years so far so I will start my 2013 blog by listing my favorite things of 2012. So here it goes:

March…Having a great time at the English Theatre in Frankfurt watching “The Who’s Tommy” and enjoying some sparkly “refreshments” 😉

My colorful birthday party. I do remember lots of booze and even more laughter. Great times!

Having a fun night out with the girls. We went to an after-work party in Frankfurt and partied among important business people cuz that’s how we roll 😉

april

My favorite Dutchie Fleur came to visit in May and we enjoyed some hangovers, lotsa laughter and the first sunbeams 🙂

Another reunion! I went to Munich. For the first time in my life. Yes, I am that kinda German 😉 I visited my friend Marian and she convinced me that Munich is an awesome place. And now, I am even willing to go back there.

My two lovely Finns Isa and Kata came to visit me in May as well. I haven’t seen the girls since I moved back to Germany last August so it felt really good to see them again as I have missed my Finnish entourage 😉

I love my house mates in Gießen! We decided to stop traffic and do our own version of Abbey Road. Fun moments.

Die beste WG

We had quite  big house party in June. About 100 people and the police came to party with us. The police must have liked it as they came back after a while 😉

My inner teenager was so happy in June! I flew to Dublin to see Westlife in concert. It was their farewell tour and I met a few friends and we all went to see it together. It was in Croke Park, the big stadium in Dublin and it was packed!

We sang, danced, laughed and cried. Awesome concert. Awesome time. Farewell, Westlife ♥

Made a quick trip to Hamburg in July to reunite with these two lovely ladies! ♥

Oh summer how I loved you and how I loved the bbq/wig parties on our roof terrace with my house mates.

july

Another summer night. Another roof terrace. Another bbq party.

Even though I do not really follow soccer, it was great to experience the atmosphere in the stadium. As I was working there I could catch everything for free. I liked. But I am still not a big soccer fan 😉

I loved the wine and musical evenings with my friend Kathi. We made ourselves comfy on my bed, drank wine and watched musicals…until we fell asleep.

In October I got to see my little Prince again. I love my nephew. A lot.

Another highlight in 2012 was my trip to Portugal. My friend Isa was on exchange in Lisbon and we decided on a little reunion over there. Best of all: My friend Henna (who I have not seen for over a year) flew in from England and we all spent a lovely, crazy and fantastic extended weekend in this beautiful city. I seriously cannot wait for the next reunion!

Nov 1

My friend Jess, who I don’t get to see very often, came to visit me in November. Besides shopping, sightseeing, eating out and seeing the Musical “Sweet Charity”, we were in tears laughing…as always. 🙂

November

Another trip to Hamburg in Decemeber where I tried to see as many friends as possible. Simone is always one of my fave person to meet there! We were known as “Team Awesome” back in Helsinki…and are probably remembered as “Team Retard” in Hamburg 😉novv

The main reason for my Hamburg trip was a big themed birthday party. The theme: Musicals! What else did you expect? 😉 I decided to dress up as Charleston girl from the musical “Chicago” pretty last minute and had a great time…according to the pictures. Haha!

Dez.

Playing Laser Tag with my house mates was another highlight! To regain our energy we had some hot wine at the Christmas market in Frankfurt afterwards. It was the last fun night out before I moved and I really enjoyed it.

Last reunion with my crazy work colleagues who surprised me that night!

dez1.2

I will never forget the day I could submit one of my worst nightmares ever….116 pages of sweat, tears and pain.

Christmas with the family…and a very happy nephew 😉

In late December, I got to spend a fun day out with my sister. Haven’t done this for years as both of us are usually very busy. We went to Rostock for some shoppping and then we had “Dinner in the Dark” where you are served food in the dark. You do not know what the blind waitors are serving you….you just need to use your remaining senses. It was such a weird but also great experience. Best of all: I did not spill any food…onto my clothes at least 😉

Cannot wait to see what 2013 brings along! I am hoping for a lot of laughter, fun times and glitter! 😉

I don’t know how often I’ve already showered but I still have glitter on my body. Or maybe it is just my awesomeness shining through…who knows. All I know is that I’ve seen him, the King of Glam, the Glamfather: Mr. Adam Lambert. True Story

one very happy Jule

The concert was sold out. The show was supposed to start at 9pm(not knowing that the diva himself would be 15 min late) and doors opened at 6pm. We arrived at 5.30pm and our eyes spied way too many teenagers who had been camping out there for 11 hours and longer(and it was fricking cold that day!!!). As I have German genes and a teensy bit of awesomeness in my blood, we lined up at the front while drinking a bottle of wine. It seemed that nobody really cared that we cut the line but they looked at us like we were aliens because we were drinking alcohol (come on we’re in Finland!). But maybe they were just irritated because I did not have cheesy things like “Adam I love you” written all over my arms and face with a permanent marker…I guess I will never find out.

As soon as we finished our wine bottles, the doors opened.I am so glad we had tickets in the “over 18 section” of the venue: no tormenting teenagers, no pushing and shoving. But a nice bar and great view.

The show was awesome but way too short! I wanted to get something from the merchandise stands after the show but those tools only accepted cash…and no debit cards(come on, we’re in Finland!!!!!)…so I could not get a beloved and way overpriced t-shirt. I was feeling grumpy as I did not get the t-shirt and started joking “either Adam shows up at the club later or I will be pissed for the rest of my life”…

Guess who really showed up at the club that night with his glamily?? At first I thought I was seeing a ghost but then the ghost turned out to be a tall and sparkly man with lotsa eye make up aka Mr. Lambert. My eyes almost popped out of my head!!! Awesome feeling, really!

Adam with clubowner Cristal Snow

That night was seriously one of the best in my life and the hangover was definitely worth it. I might even be glambertized for the rest of my life…so watch out friends, I might exchange the wine bottles with permanent markers next time 😉

Feels so good to finally have it in my hands…

my precious

We got tickets in the “over 18” section…so I’m hoping for lotsa booze to help me ignore all the freaking out and screaming of the underaged girls(and guys) at the concert. I can’t let anything distract me from spying on my bling competition…except a few ciders maybe 😉

absolutely love this song

What a day! There were some happenings going on in Helsinki today. The “Olivia” magazine had a big tent where people could get some free goodies.

So after we were done eating free cake, joghurt, drinking some new Schweppes and getting the Beckhams new fragnances, we watched a fashion show. It was a show for handbags and nice to look at.I didnt like the purses that much though. There was way too much Bling missing for my taste 😉

handbag fashion show

Fintelligens was next on our plan. The radio station YleX had their summer concert and Fintelligens were one of the performers. I just love their song “mikä boogie“.

MIKÄ BOOGIEEE

Because getting free stuff, walking around and seeing a concert in heels is exhausting, we decided to go to a terrace and have some wine. Was a good idea!! Even the sun came out later on.

enjoying some sun before it disappeared again

As already announced in my last blog, the temperatures dropped again…and it is COLD!!! The one week of summer was nice while it lasted ;)…and maybe (if everybody is nice) it will come out again next week 🙂

Next on plan is watching the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST!! Soo excited for it! Definately gonna blog about it tomorrow!

Bling on! xoxo

As already announced in the previous blog I went to the Casino on Friday night. Had a great time and I am happy to announce that I did not spend any money for gambling! But let the pictures tell more:

Cheek performing

Fintelligens

After the shows we walked around the casino a bit and then suddenly a guy came up and gave us free gamble tickets which we used for the slot machines first.

of course I chose a machine that matched my style:Kitty Glitter 😉

and that Kitty Glitter ate my ticket.

I had absolutely no idea how those machnes work and after consulting the guy next to me I was not any smarter. He basically said that you just push the buttons and hope you’re lucky and win something. Well isn’t that awesome? And I always thought there would be some logic behind those things…

Ok next we went to play roulette…and did not win anything either and the same luck for the Fortune Wheel. It was a nice experience though!Might go there again with the hope of gambling with free gambling tickets again 😉

Pheewww! What a day! It took us 9 hours to drive back to Germany. 2 hours longer than expected…stupid snow/construction sites! To be honest I had a hard time not to fall asleep behind the steering wheel…but I had a great entertainer next to me who made me listen to Lady Gaga’s new album…A LOT 😉

Of course we confirmed the stereotype that women don’t know anything about the inside of a car. We ran our of frost protection on the way back (you know that stuff that gets sprayed on ur windshield that cleans your window at the same time)…yeah we ran out of that liquid(and we really needed some!) so we went into car supply store and bought some and then we asked for help cuz we didnt know where to put it. I felt so embarrassed when the woman who sold us that stuff yelled through the store for her colleague to help ” 2 ladies with the frost protection because they don’t know where to put it”. That got us some extra attention we didnt even ask for. Thank you!Merry Christmas to you too!

Anyways, I had a great time during those 4 days! Thanks to everybody!I love the Netherlands and Amsterdam is just truly beautiful(and crazy!) and I advise everybody to go there at least once!(most likely with me  if you want it to be legendary 😉 ).

We took a lot of (stupid)videos which will all be taken and turned into another glorious video. Might take a while though as my secretary is on Christmas vacation and now I have to do it myself 😉 But I still want to show you you something:

Here’s a compilation of the show we’ve been to on Saturday. (Oudejaarsshow). It’s a bit long but I love it…especially the part from 2:53-3:41 WATCH IT!

Oudejaarsshow 2009 in Westervoort

Now you’re up to date with my life again and I can finally go to bed and sleep. So please do not disturb!

SHHHHHH!!!

Today we went to the Amsterdam Dungeon. I’ve been to the London Dungeon 3 times already but I somehow must have forgotten how scary this whole experience is…I think I was the loudest one(maybe even the only one when it comes to the screaming part…lalala)

before we entered

right after we entered…the spirit got me 😉

After surviving that experience we went shopping for a bit and then we drove to Westervoort somewhere in the middle of nowhere to see the Oudejaarsshow.

We found out about it on Friday and it sounded very interesting….so we got tickets from somebody and enjoyed the beautiful and very entertaining show for free. Life’s good!Pictures and videos will come soon!
